Let me tell you a little bit about myself! I was born and raised in Bloomington/Normal. I attended District 87 schools for elementary grades and then went to Holy Trinity (now Corpus Christi) for middle school. I graduated from Central Catholic before attending Illinois Wesleyan where I earned my bachelors degree in Educational Studies. I also have a masters degree in curriculum and instruction which I earned from Nova Southeastern University. Teaching was something I've wanted to do since I was young. Perhaps it is due to the influence I've had before me--a great grandmother, grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, and 3 cousins--are all were/are in the education field!
I come from a very athletic and competitive family. While at Illinois Wesleyan I was a member of the softball team where I was a pitcher. One year we went to the Women's College World Series where we placed 3rd! I also play volleyball during the summer too. Teaching is one of the things I love, but I also LOVE the CHICAGO CUBS!! Season tickets to the Cubs games are on my lifetime wish list! :)
If you ever have questions for me, please do not hesitate to ask! It is a pleasure to be working with you--our journey will be a fun, memorable one!
